The ESA CCI Lakes dataset contains lake water level , extent, temperature, ice cover, water quality, chlorophyll and turbidity from multiple satellite missions.

GlobTemperature is an ESA project that provides access to multipurpose satellite-based land, lake and ice surface temperature data sets. Historical period and resolutions vary.

In 2023 ESA WorldCereal released the first dynamic system to provide cropland and crop type maps at 10 meter spatial resolution. The WorldCereal consortium succeeded in providing detailed and seasonally updated global maps of temporary crops, crop type (maize, winter cereals and spring cereals) and irrigation for the year 2021.

As part of the ESA Land Cover Climate Change Initiative (CCI) project a new set of yearly Global Land Cover Maps have been produced. Each pixel value corresponds to the classification of a land cover class defined based on the UN Land Cover Classification System (LCCS). The reliability of the classifications made are documented by the four quality flags (decribed further in the Product User Guide) that accompany these maps.
